I believe a ceremony should sound like the two of you — your humour, your history, the way you actually talk to each other. That’s the work I love.
I’m Gillian — celebrant, ceremony-writer and unapologetic romantic, based in Rochester and travelling all over Kent and Sussex (and further when the story calls for it).
I came to this work the long way round: through years of writing, listening, and watching people try to fit their love into ceremonies that didn’t quite fit back. So I decided to do it differently. Every ceremony I write begins with a real conversation — over tea, over Zoom, on a long walk if that’s your thing — and ends with words that belong only to you.
As an independent celebrant I sit deliberately outside the strict frameworks of registrars, humanists and religious officiants. That means I can mix faiths, weave in family traditions, design symbolic rituals, or strip it all back to just the two of you exchanging the truth.
There’s no limit to what your ceremony can be—we’re here to make your dream a reality.
From historical sites to your family garden, your perfect venue is never out of reach.
Every couple is celebrated here. We embrace all traditions, beliefs, and personal choices.
Let’s craft a memorable ceremony that truly reflects your personal love story.
