As an experienced wedding celebrant based in the Medway area, I serve couples across Kent and Sussex, working closely with each couple to create ceremonies that reflect who they are, what they value and the journey that has brought them together.
I’m Gillian – celebrant, ceremony-writer and unapologetic romantic. For me, being a celebrant is about far more than standing at the front of a ceremony. It’s about getting to know you, understanding your story and creating a ceremony that feels personal, memorable and completely authentic.
My journey to becoming a celebrant began after attending several weddings that left me feeling something was missing.
The ceremonies felt rushed and impersonal, with little opportunity for couples to express who they really were. After one particular wedding, a friend said to me, “You could do this so much better.”
That conversation stayed with me.
Having spent many years working as a registered nurse, caring for people during some of the most important moments of their lives, I realised I wanted to continue supporting people, but in a different way.
I wanted to help couples celebrate one of the happiest days they’ll ever experience.
After that, Heartfelt Moment was born.
Today, I have the privilege of creating bespoke wedding ceremonies that celebrate every couple’s unique love story, giving them the freedom to have the wedding ceremony they’ve always imagined.
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years working in nursing.
My career taught me far more than clinical skills.
Those qualities naturally became part of the way I work as an officiant.
